Ali Enache

Los Angeles-based artist Ali Enache creates abstract paintings that explore memory, emotion and atmosphere through a restrained, textural language. Born in Washington, D.C. in 1985, Enache works with diluted acrylics on unprimed canvas, allowing pigment to absorb into the textile and form soft, layered compositions. Her practice moves between intention and surrender, creating works that feel quiet, luminous and deeply contemplative.

Enache’s paintings are built through translucent washes, subtle tonal shifts and decisive marks that interrupt the surface with a quiet sense of resolve. Her compositions appear to breathe, with colour and texture dissolving into one another like passing states of feeling. Through restraint, translucence and material sensitivity, she gives form to emotion without fixing it in place.
