Objects, Context and Continuity

Three Over Six is a Sydney-based advisory and retail practice working across fashion, jewellery, art and collectible design. Its work centres on provenance, condition and cultural context.

Selected works are presented online and at the Double Bay space; others are introduced privately through direct enquiry. The practice advises on acquisitions, sales and the placement of individual works and collections through an international network of collectors, specialists and institutions.

An object is understood through more than its material qualities. Its origin, authorship, condition and place within a broader cultural history are examined and communicated as clearly as the available evidence allows.

Acquisitions and Sales

Three Over Six assists with individual acquisitions, the development of collections and the sale of significant pieces. The process may begin with a particular object, a field of interest or an established collection seeking its next custodian.

Confidentiality

Public presentation is not appropriate for every work or transaction. Enquiries, research and negotiations are managed directly, with information disclosed only as required for the engagement.

Located in Double Bay, Sydney, the Three Over Six space brings together a changing selection of fashion, jewellery, art and design. It is both a place to encounter objects in person and a setting for conversations that require time and attention.
