Rob Tucker

New Zealand artist Rob Tucker lives and works in Auckland, where he has developed a distinctive practice across still life, architectural subjects and figurative landscapes. Born in 1987, Tucker is known for works that balance structure with lightness, using simplified forms, geometric shapes and vivid colour to create compositions that feel both graphic and quietly nostalgic.

Tucker’s work explores the relationship between space, form and colour. His still lifes and landscapes often carry the feeling of suspended time, with bold outlines, textured surfaces and playful arrangements of shape. Echoes of David Hockney, Henri Matisse and Giorgio Morandi can be felt in his approach, yet his visual language remains distinctly his own — oversized, bright, harmonious and gently whimsical.
