Scott Thomlinson | Botox To Breakfast

Victorian-born artist Scott Thomlinson has lived with image-making from an early age, beginning with childhood drawings inspired by Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly series on the living room floor. Raised in Shepparton, his interest in art continued through school, where drawing, photography and design became the natural language through which he understood the world. After moving to Sydney, he built a long creative career before returning fully to the art practice that had always remained at the centre of his attention.

Thomlinson's work is shaped by a lifetime of looking, drawing and composing images. His background in advertising, illustration, design and art direction gives his practice a strong sense of structure, wit and visual clarity. Across his work, there is an instinctive understanding of composition and storytelling, balanced by the freedom of an artist now creating without commercial constraint.
