Andrew Farmer

British-born Australian artist Andrew Farmer is a self-taught abstract artist based on the west coast of Australia. His practice emerged later in life, following a decade in the Royal Air Force, a move to Australia, and a successful career in the corporate sector.

Farmer began painting in 2019, during a period of personal family upheaval, returning to a creative instinct he had not explored since childhood. Within five years, he had established a full-time professional practice, exhibiting with galleries in Australia, Spain and Belgium, and presenting work at major international art fairs.

His work is defined by geometric resin forms constructed on mirrored aluminium, creating a dynamic interplay between colour, light, reflection and surface. Precise yet expressive, Farmer’s compositions expand the language of hard-edge abstraction, transforming resin into bold, luminous works that feel both architectural and atmospheric.
