Amsterdam-based artist and designer Eline Baas leads an art and interior design studio. Her background includes design work across interiors, lifestyle, fashion and jewellery, alongside collaboration with ateliers and manufacturers internationally. She develops her own art objects through the studio’s Atelier division, working at the meeting point of material research, making and interior space.

Baas works with materials including wood, clay, brass, copper and steel. Oxidation, sanding and other surface treatments reveal their different responses to light and touch. Variations and irregularities are part of the finished object, allowing the hand and the material to remain visible. Her atelier produces works to order and in small editions.

The selection includes No.010 Solis from the Eclipse Collection, made in brushed brass on wood, and No.139 Elements. Both invite attention to the relationship between the wall, the surface and the surrounding light.
