Three Over Six presented art, design objects and heritage handbags at Hyde Park Barracks during the Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance. The installation placed collectible objects alongside a programme centred on automotive design and preservation.
Mars Marsanic, co-founder of Three Over Six, served on the judging panel, bringing experience across provenance, craftsmanship and design to the assessment of the vehicles.
Cars shown across the three-day event included a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, DeLorean DMC-12, Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa and McLaren Speedtail. Together they traced different approaches to engineering, material and form.
The setting allowed visitors to compare the questions shared by automotive and object collecting: how a work was made, how it has been preserved and what gives it continuing relevance.
