Art, design and heritage handbags at Hyde Park Barracks.
The story
From 2–4 March 2023, Three Over Six joined the Sydney Harbour Concours d’Elegance at Hyde Park Barracks. Among the cars gathered in the courtyard, a presentation of art, design objects and heritage handbags opened a conversation between different worlds of collecting.
A Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, a DeLorean DMC-12, a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa and a McLaren Speedtail brought very different silhouettes to the event. Engineering, material and the history of care gave each car a particular presence.
Mars Marsanic, co-founder of Three Over Six, joined the judging panel, bringing her interest in craftsmanship, design and provenance to the cars on display.
Across the courtyard, collections met through the details their owners knew best. A line of bodywork, a fastening, a surface kept over time: there was much to recognise between the cars and the objects presented by Three Over Six.
