Two renowned Australian powerhouses, Sarah Ellison and ADesignStudio, have joined forces to create a captivating new lighting capsule collection titled Alchemy.

This collection features a wall light, table lamp, and pendant light that seamlessly blend emotive power with advanced LED technology. The collection showcases enlarged, pebble-like shapes composed of irregularly moulded domes, enhanced by an alabaster fade encased within larger shades of Clear, Sepia, or Salmon, all anchored by elegantly contoured brass bases. Inspired by Fitzpatrick’s fascination with crackled glass, the casings are thicker and richer in tone than his previous designs, casting warm, opaque glows and scattering dappled reflections across their surroundings.

ADesignStudio, led by Alex Fitzpatrick, is an award-winning lighting design and manufacturing practice based in Sydney, Australia, with an international distribution network. The studio’s collections showcase a distinctly expressive approach to transforming spaces with light, blending traditional techniques like glassblowing and metalworking with contemporary lighting technologies to achieve a harmonious balance between the scientific and the poetic.

The poetic qualities of light are integral to the studio’s philosophy. The objects we choose to surround ourselves with in our homes and workplaces resonate with us for reasons beyond mere functionality.
