Los Angeles-based artist Cannon Dill was born in Orlando, Florida, in 1991. He studied at the California College of the Arts and has worked across painting, illustration and murals. His solo exhibitions have included presentations at Pt. 2 Gallery, Spoke Art and PIERMARQ*, where A Change of Sky was shown in 2025.

Dill simplifies his subjects into strong outlines and flattened planes, then gives the surface a deliberately tactile character. Horses, birds, flowers and landscapes recur as elements in an open visual story. The clarity of the shapes is offset by irregular marks and layered colour, keeping the work close to the physical act of making.

Woodpeckers Eating Insects Off Palm Tree and Wild Horse place animals at the centre of the selection, offering two distinct views of Dill’s natural world.
